Mikron Tool presents its small-dimension milling and drilling tools for machining stainless and heat-resistant materials, including the CrazyDrill Cool SST-Inox. This small drill is available in diameters ranging from 1 mm to 6 mm (0.039" to 0.236") and is said to be suitable for drilling without pecking. According to the company, the helicoidal integration and drop-shaped coolant ducts, which deliver constant coolant flow during the drilling operation, enable reaching the full depth of 20×D in one feed stroke. The cooling method is designed to prevent cutting edges from overheating from the beginning, and combined with the right geometry it can facilitate easier breaking of chips and the flushing of chips out of the flute. These factors are said to enable machining with higher cutting parameters. The drills also feature geometry that is designed to cause chips to break in the front section of the flutes, an open flute profile in the back that is designed to evacuate microchips, and a coating that is adapted for machining stainless materials.
The company will also feature its CrazyMill Cool Ball Z4 four-blade VHM finishing mill, and its CrazyMill Plunge and Slot plunge mills.
