HyperMill 2009.2 from Open Mind now includes a CAD integration for Autodesk Inventor 2010, which has been certified by Autodesk. The release also contains integrations for SolidWorks, thinkdesign and hyperCAD. Users of Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks can use the full range of functions of hyperMill 2009.1. With this integration, the user interface of the CAM application assumes the “look and feel” of the CAD software, the company says. In addition to increased CAM programming speed and efficiency, this can prevent errors and reduce the user’s overall workload.
Automated programming features include job linking, an extended job list and functions such as transformation or mirroring for quickly reproducing geometries in the workspace. Using hyperMill, integrated process chains can be implemented for digital manufacturing in a manner that saves time and cuts costs. The software is designed for reliable, forward-looking NC programming, the company says.
