Leaders-In background

Fabrisonic’s SonicLayer 1200 features ultrasonic additive manufacturing (UAM) technology that provides an XYZ build envelop of 10" × 10" × 10". The UAM process combines a room-temperature metal deposition process with traditional CNC milling.

The machine can create complex arrays of smooth internal channels with G-code programming. As with other large UAM machines, the SonicLayer 1200 creates parts that feature solid-state bonds at low temperatures (less than 2,500 ºF), which enables the welding of dissimilar metals and embedding of electronics (sensors) into fully dense metal parts.
