Thinbit, a subsidiary of Kaiser Tool Company Inc., has introduced angled round toolholders for CNC, conventional and end-working positions on Swiss screw machines.
The angled round toolholders position the insert at 30-, 45- or 60-degree angles for reliefs, undercuts and angled OD and face grooves. Round shank sizes are available in diameters of 1/2”, 5/8”, 3/4”, 1”, 20 mm and 25 mm.
Thinbit designed the angled round toolholders for use with its inserts in grades for ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Inserts are available in sizes .004” to .150” in .001” increments, and are available uncoated or with TiN, TiAlN, TiCN or diamond film coatings.
The company provides modifications for all of its tooling, but recommends calling 888-thinbit (844-6248) for assistance on account of the potential complexity of configuring these toolholders.
