Ti-Coating offers its Tinalox SN2 PVD coating for indexable carbide tooling. The titanium-aluminum-nitride-based coating extends tool life for a variety of applications including turning, threading and milling, accommodating materials ranging from steel to stainless steel to cast iron. The supernitride composition also provides high oxidation resistance. According to the company, the coating is designed for users who routinely machine a variety of materials. The coating performs predictably at a range of cutting speeds and applications.
