Komet’s Kub Centron Powerline, based on the company’s Kub Centron core bit drills, is designed for long length-diameter ratios. The tool’s Quatron indexable insert features four cutting edges and is said to provide improved chip removal even at drilling depths ranging to 9×D. A double-sided design is said to increase feed speeds and decrease manufacturing times while avoiding the need for guide rails. The centering point guides the tool into the drill axis to ensure dimensional accuracy, straightness and process reliability, the company says. The tool can be used on all existing Kub Centron basic elements.
The company will also display its MicroKom BluFlex fine adjustment head, which uses Bluetooth technology to simplify setting work.
