Sumitomo Electric Carbide offers its AC6030M and AC6040M turning grades for machining stainless steels. These grades feature the company’s Absotech grade coating, which improves wear resistance, adhesion resistance and fracture resistance for extended tool. The AC6030M has a titanium diboride surface layer that resists adhesion and chipping, while the AC6040M has an optimized titanium-aluminum composition resulting in good flank and notch wear resistance.
