The AC6030M and AC6040M turning grades from Sumitomo Electric Carbide feature the company’s Absotech coating to improve resistance to wear, adhesion and fracture, and extend tool life. AC6030M features a titanium diboride surface layer for greater adhesion and chipping resistance, while AC6040M has an optimized titanium and aluminum composition to better resist flank and notch wear. Both grades offer an expanded chipbreaker lineup, including the EEM breaker for improved chip control in roughing.
