The company has added two watersoluble lubricants to its Houghto-Draw line of wire drawing (WD) lubricants:
According to the company, WD 4810 is formulated to manufacture copper and tin-coated copper wire. The other lubricant, WD 4812 can be used to manufacture copper and aluminum wire and contains additives that help the fluid resist microbial degradation.
Product concentrations vary from 5 percent to 10 percent depending on the metal and drawing process, and can easily be controlled with Babcock testing.
