Students from Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois work on a real-world manufacturing engineering project at the invitation of Clinkenbeard, a contract manufacturing business based nearby. This look at manufacturing education illustrates the kind of knowledge and experience that students pursue in preparation for manufacturing careers. The SME Education Foundation, AMT—the Association For Manufacturing Technology, and 91ÊÓÆµÍøÕ¾ÎÛ collaborated to produce and distribute this video as part of an effort to help educators explain manufacturing careers to young people. The video was sent on DVD, along with a discussion guide, to about 4,800 middle schools and high schools. Filming and video production by Creative Technology Corp.
